532 When No One’s Watching: The Psychology of Self-Motivation

Instructor: E. Scott Geller, Ph.D., Virginia Tech – Department of Psychology, Blacksburg, VA

Description: An injury-free culture requires people to do the right things for safety when working and driving alone with no one watching to hold them accountable. Such self-accountability requires self-motivation. This spirited, research-based session will specify practical ways to facilitate the self-motivation needed to achieve and sustain a total safety culture.
