Instructor: Jeffery C. Camplin, CSP, CPEA, Camplin Environmental Services, Inc., Rosemont, IL

Description: Sponsored by the Environmental Practice Specialty
Title X, the Lead-Based Paint Act of 1992 (P.L. 102-550), requires that three agencies, OSHA, USEPA and HUD, develop a national strategy to “build the infrastructure necessary to eliminate lead-based paint (LBP) hazards in all housing.” OSHA and USEPA have recently revised their regulations to comply with Title X. This session will discuss best practices utilizing the lead paint regulation and recent guidance issued by OSHA, USEPA and HUD when LBP is disturbed, especially residential buildings.
